Q. What kind of cases does LawStreet Capital advance money against?

A. Motor Vehicle Accidents, Slip & Falls, Premises Liability, Products Liability, Discrimination/Wrongful Termination, Construction Accidents, Medical Malpractice, False Imprisonment, Commercial Litigation.

Q. How much money will LawStreet Capital advance against a case?

A. As little as $500.00 and as much as $2,000,000.00. Each case is evaluated carefully and then LawStreet Capital will make that determination.

Q. Why can't I just borrow money from my attorney?

A. State Bar Associations do not permit attorneys to advance money to their clients.

Q. Would my advance from LawStreet Capital be considered a loan?

A. No. LawStreet Capital purchases a portion of the anticipated settlement proceeds from your case and only gets paid back from these proceeds if your case is successfully resolved.

Q. What if I lose my case?

A. Our advance to you is non-recourse. If you lose your case, you owe LawStreet Capital nothing.

Q. How long does the funding process take?

A. After LawStreet Capital receives all of the information about your case from your attorney, we can have the funds in your account within 24 hours.

Q. How does LawStreet Capital participate in my case after they provide me with an advance?

A. At no time does LawStreet Capital get involved in the management of your case. All decisions regarding your case are made by you and your attorney.

Q. What can I use the money for?

A. That is completely up to you. You may use the money for bills, rent, food, etc.

Q. Are there hidden or up front fees?

A. No. In fact if you complete our online application, there are no broker fees at all. The only fee you will be responsible for is a small application fee which is NOT up front. You pay this fee from the proceeds of your settlement when your case settles.

Q. How much will I owe to LawStreet Capital when my case settles?

A. When your case settles, your attorney will pay LawStreet Capital the gross amount advanced plus accrued fees out of the settlement proceeds of your case. The amount you owe each month will be clearly shown on schedule A of your agreement with LawStreet Capital.
